How to use the date calculator
Day counts use the calendar, including leap years. Adding months keeps the same day of the month where it exists, otherwise it uses the last day of that month. The years-months-days span uses the same rule, counting whole months forward from the earlier date, so no part is ever negative.
- To count days, pick the two dates. Tick “Include the end date” if both days should count.
- Choose a 5- or 6-day working week to count working days.
- To find a future or past date, pick a start date and add or subtract days, weeks, months or years.
Understanding your result
The difference counts calendar days between the two dates; tick “Include the end date” to count both days. Working days exclude weekends only, not public holidays, which differ by country and region.
