Gauritanaya is operated by Gauritanaya Enterprises & Ventures (“we”, “us”).

Your files

Files you open in our PDF and image tools are processed entirely in your browser. They are not uploaded to Gauritanaya or anyone else, and we cannot see them. Text you type into our calculators and text tools also stays on your device.

If you drop a file on the homepage and choose a tool, the file is kept briefly in your browser’s own storage so the next page can open it. It is deleted as soon as that page reads it. If you leave before the tool page opens, it is deleted the next time you open any page of this site, once it is 10 minutes old, and it is never sent anywhere.

Camera

The document scanner asks for permission to use your camera. The camera picture is processed only in your browser to find and straighten the page. It is never recorded, uploaded or sent to us. The pages you keep are held in the page’s memory until you save them or close the page. The camera turns off when you close it, switch to another app or tab, or leave the page. No other page of this site can use your camera.

What is saved in your browser

Some tools save information in your own browser’s storage (localStorage) so it is there when you come back. It stays on your device, is never sent to us, and stays until you delete it:

• Document makers (invoice, quotation, receipts, salary slip, resume, cover letter, biodata): your latest draft, including any logo or photo you added. Use Clear form on that tool to delete it.
• Blood pressure checker: readings you add to your log, with your age at the time if you entered it (so under-18 readings stay marked correctly in the CSV). Delete single readings, or use Delete all.
• Health tools: your height, weight, age, sex, family background and similar details, only if you tick Remember my details on this device. Use Forget my details to delete them.
• Currency choice on money calculators.

You can also delete everything at once by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings. On a shared or public computer, clear the data after use.

Site helper

The “Need help?” button opens a small helper that answers questions about this site’s tools and suggests fixes when something goes wrong. It is not a person and does not use artificial intelligence. It runs entirely in your browser, using a file of tool information that loads from this site when you first open it. What you type into the helper is not sent to us or anyone else, and is not saved: it disappears when you leave or reload the page.

After you download a file, the helper may suggest related tools once per page. Tapping No thanks stops suggestions until you close the browser tab. To remember these choices, it keeps small markers in your browser’s session storage, which your browser deletes when the tab is closed. If you only see the helper because you opened a link to try it early, a marker in your browser’s storage remembers that; opening any page with ?helper=off at the end of the address removes it.

Feedback and ratings

Each tool page, and the contact page, has an optional form to rate the tool and tell us what worked or went wrong. If you send it, we receive your rating, your message, the page it came from, the site release, a short device description (such as “Android Chrome”) and, only if you type it, your email address so we can reply. We do not record your IP address or anything from your files.

Feedback is stored as a private item in a private repository on GitHub (operated by GitHub, Inc.), which only the Gauritanaya team can open. It is never shown on the site. We use it only to fix and improve the tools and pages, and we delete a message, with any email address in it, once it has been dealt with or when you ask us to. Please don’t include personal details such as ID or account numbers. If our feedback service is unavailable, the page offers to send your message by email instead.

What we collect

We do not currently use analytics or tracking cookies.

We do not currently show advertising.

If you email us, we use your email address only to reply.

Hosting and fonts

Like any website, our hosting provider (Vercel) receives standard request details, such as your IP address and browser type, when a page loads. It never receives your files or what you type into a tool. The site’s own fonts are served from our domain. Two tools also load fonts from Google Fonts: the marriage biodata maker (Hindi script) and Sign PDF (handwriting styles). When you open those pages, Google receives the same kind of request details.

Your rights

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and similar laws elsewhere, you can ask what personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Email contact@gauritanaya.com.
