How to use the find and replace
Matching is case-insensitive unless you tick Match case. Whole words only skips matches inside longer words.
- Type the word or phrase to find, and what to replace it with.
- Choose match case or whole words if needed. The number of matches updates as you type.
- Tap Replace all, then copy the text.
Questions
What does “whole words only” do?
It skips matches inside longer words. Replacing “cat” then leaves “category” alone.
Can I use $1 in the replacement?
Yes, when “Use regular expression” is on. $1, $2 and so on insert the matching groups from your pattern.
Is my text sent anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type or paste leaves your device.
